Molecular Beacon Probes with 5'-reporter (FAM, TET, HEX, YAK, Cy3, Cy5) and terminale quencher (Dabcyl, TAMRA, BHQ1™, BHQ2™).
The quencher TAMRA (rhodamin) is by itself a fluorophore, absorved energy is emitted as fluorescence. 'Dark Quencher' do not emit light and therefore, do not interfere with the measurement. 'Dark Quencher' Dabcyl [DiAzoBenzyl, = Methylorange].
Dabcyl and BHQ1™ can be used for dyes with an emmission wave length of up to 600 nm. BHQ1™ and BHQ2™ cover wave lenghts up to 700 nm.
